I-Con, You-Con, We-Con…Again!

You know what I love about I-Con, the Northeast’s Largest Science Fiction Convention?

Well, first, it’s at the scenic green campus of Stony Brook University (SUNY) on lovely Long Island, where the grass and trees sway while the co-eds play.

Second, they always have a bunch of super-cool guests who I love meeting. This year they’ve got Rekha Sharma from Battlestar Galactica, Nana Visitor from Deep Space Nine, Sarah Douglas from Superman, and Paul McGann, who is not only the “I” of Withnail & I, but Doctor (#8) frakkin’ Who (among others)!

And third, they keep me busy. I go to a few conventions every year, and I’m always surprised when programmers, guests, and attendees start any sentence with “I don’t want to bother you, but…!”

If I didn’t want to be “bothered,” I would have stayed home! I love being busy at conventions, and I-Con takes me at my word.

Not only will I be selling my new books, old comics, and perhaps a DVD or two, but they’ve got me on four panels, two readings and one meet’n’greet on all three days of the event.

So if you’re out and about between Friday March 30th and Sunday April 1st (fitting, ain’t it?), come on by. Even if you don’t see me, you’ll have a great time (or maybe because you don’t see me)!
